‘Bashir’s mission’

Bashir is a Somali boy with a mission: find food for his friends as they suffers from three Cs’ - conflict, costs, climate change. Nearly all Bashir’s friends and relatives face starvation as drought worsens and global food prices hover near record highs.

Core promise

Eating is not only functional, it also provides belonging and emotion. Eating is the first expression of care. We all eat, without food, no life. Food security is a human right. For these reasons our core promise is: • Create and share home chef recipe stories globally • Improve food emotions and increase food security • Strengthen social food cohesion through inspiration
